Silixa is developing and commercialising a range of sensing solutions for Energy and
Security applications based on its revolutionary
and unique Intelligent Distributed Acoustic Sensor (IDAS). The IDAS enables the customer to listen in to digital-quality
sound at every point along many kilometres of optical fibre cable. This acoustic signal can be
processed and used in a great variety of applications including
flow metering, acoustic imaging and pipeline and perimeter monitoring. Silixa is currently trialling the IDAS for a number of applications
